Deep Blue and the other NINA project members convened in Rome on the 10th of September for the last progress meeting. NINA is exploring the use of brain waves and neurophysiological measures to assess air traffic controllers’ mental state.
Project partners discussed the adaptive automation solutions to validate, and agreed on the final validation plan. Representatives from ENAC, Sapienza and Deep Blue presented the preliminary activities carried out so far within NINA. In addition, they finalised the planning of the second and final validation activity.
First, they shared information about the experimental platform, the schedule of the activities, and the validation tools and methods. In addition, they discussed the Skills-Rules-Knowledge (SRK) analysis, the adaptive automations implemented and the technical shakedown between two platforms.
Later, they focused on the design of the adaptive interface solutions and the presentation of the preliminary ideas for the advanced adaptive automations.
With this meeting, everything is now ready for NINA to have is final validation session. The validation will take place again in Toulouse at ENAC premises, in a laboratory setting, as the previous session.
