In a groundbreaking announcement for the aviation industry, the highly anticipated Engage 2 project has officially kicked off and launched its social networks. Drawing from the valuable experience of its predecessor, the Engage Knowledge Transfer Network (KTN), Engage 2 is aimed to support the SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking (S3JU) in preparing and inspiring the next generation of aviation professionals for the digital economy.
With a strategic focus on forging strong relationships within the aviation community, the project will put in place several initiatives such as PhD funding and catalyst funds, hackathons, workshops and open days, while actively implementing the SESAR Digital Academy (SDA). Moreover, the mission’s key achievement will be the implementation of the knowledge hub, serving as a comprehensive repository of essential information for the aviation industry.
Deep Blue takes the reins as Lead Coordinator with the main task to ensure efficient management of the project and fruitful integration of skills and resources across different partners.
To foster targeted interaction among diverse stakeholders, promote networking, and facilitate engaging activities, Deep Blue will design a cutting-edge app. By bringing together aspiring aviation enthusiasts and seasoned experts, the app will become a platform for exchange and collaboration, powering the success of open days and other events.
Additionally, Deep Blue will spearhead the communication, dissemination, and exploitation activities as the lead beneficiary. This crucial responsibility entails ensuring that project results are easily accessible to interested individuals and influential decision-makers. Through these efforts, Deep Blue will raise awareness about the project’s outcomes and the numerous benefits it offers, while encouraging active community participation at all levels.
