Hermeneut assesses vulnerabilities of organisations, estimates the consequences of cyber-attacks, estimates tangible and intangible assets risks, and offers guidelines to support decisions related to cyber security investments.
The HERMENEUT project assesses and quantifies the consequences of cyber-attacks on assets, and the losses related to intangible assets.
It innovates with a unique cyber-security cost-benefit analysis approach that combines up-to-date modern attack trends, integrated assessment of vulnerabilities and likelihoods of cyber-attacks with an innovative macro- and microeconomic model of intangible costs, to deliver risk estimations for individual organisations, sectors and the economy. It then provides investment guidelines for mitigation measures. HERMENEUT also delivers a decision support tool to decision makers and validates it in two sectors increasingly under cyber-attack: health-care and an Intellectual Property-intensive industry.
Deep Blue works as Human Factors expert, contributing to Human Factors threat analysis and vulnerability assessment and to the identification of effective organisational and human-related mitigation measures, including cyber-insurance.
In addition, Deep Blue supports dissemination and communication activities and the management of the Advisory Board.
