Visit us at the World ATM Congress 2019: we are presenting our latest solutions for real-time neurophysiological measurement of workload and stress at Leonardo Stand (n. 890, Hall 10).
Come play with us!
Like video games? Ever wondered how you perform under pressure? Then, come prove yourself with our ATC game!
Safely land as many aircraft as possible without accidents to be the #1. We specifically designed this game to evaluate your workload while you engage with this task, with the help of a new generation neurometric-headset. The winner will win a special prize offered by Leonardo. Moreover, you will get a nice memento of your visit to WAC: your workload recording, and an irreplaceable photo of your ATC experience.
Come hear from us!
We will be part of the Leonardo Agorà “Let’s talk together about the future. Are you ready to be inspired?”. Come hear from us at Leonardo Stand (n. 890, Hall 10) on the 13th of March.
Morning session (10:20-11:00) with Stefano Bonelli. Technological innovations bring new capabilities and opportunities. So, what is the right approach to introduce and use new automated tools?
The increase of flight traffic and the evolution of technologies has been leading the ATM R&D towards automatic tools to support the ATCOs. However, the ATM system also needs to ensure to keep the ATCOs in the loop of the decision making process. We will discuss how to do this effectively, with the help of case studies from the Air Traffic Management domain.
Afternoon session (16:20-17:00) with Michela Terenzi. Digital remote towers are becoming more and more reality. But in the smart tower implementation, where is the right balance between the human being and automation? How to manage a multi-airport digital tower?
Indeed, new automated tools can really support ATCOs’ performance. Nevertheless, the human operator is still at the core of the safety-critical functions. We will discuss different technologies for the implementation of a digital tower able to keep the human-in-the-loop to optimize workload and minimize risks.
About the World ATM Congress
World ATM Congress is the world’s largest international air traffic management (ATM) exhibition, operated by the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) in partnership with the Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA).
Thus, World ATM Congress brings together the world’s leading product developers, experts, stakeholders, and air navigation service providers (ANSPs). In particular, aviation thought leaders gather for three days of conference sessions, product demonstrations and launches, contract closures and educational and networking opportunities.
Why attend? So that you get unparallel insight into key issues in the ATM industry, hands-on experience of the latest products and innovation, and increased brand awareness. Overall, World ATM Congress delivers the context, content, and contacts needed to shape the future of global airspace. World ATM Congress will be in Madrid (Spain), 12-14 March 2019.
